ROBBING THE STATE
ROBBING THE
STATE
Running to the office in the start of the afternoon,
Only to start signing out three hours after.
Idling at the office every day,
When there is much at stake,
Robbing the state.
Wearing a lab jacket but never in the lab,
Hearing the cry of helpless patience,
But in an activated gossip mode with Patience.
The sick die due to your carelessness and wickedness,
And each month the bank smiles at you for rubbing the
state.
Always busy at checkpoints,
Yet citizens remain in insecurity.
But each day your pockets swell with kola nuts
extorted from the unfortunate.
Citizens live in fear even around your post
Because your security attire best knows bribery
You are a traitor and an enemy to the state
You are paid to educate future statesmen and women,
But only seen during controls,
Students go empty every day,
And the state lacks behind,
You are a state criminal.
Why do we rub the state and allow it to remain behind?
Why do you hinder its development?
Where is the good citizenship the state plants in you?
How then can we travel safe through the emergence
journey?
When we hold its wings from flying higher.
Stop robbing the state, stop killing its potentials.
