2ND Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED

Finally the second Youth Leadership Workshop of GCED taking place in Busan, South Korea was launched today 12 June, 2016. The launching ceremony took place at the Trinity Hall of the Busan University of Foreign Studies. Speaking during the occasion, the various speakers (DR. Utak Chung-Director of APCEIU, Ms. Min Jeong KIM-Head of Secretariat UNSG GEFI, Dr. Hae Lin Chung-President of BUFS, Mr. Jeong-hee WON-Mayor of Geumjeong-gu) all congratulated the 49 participants from 39 countries for making it to the workshop and for their ongoing and past projects. It is worth nothing that the participants were carefully selected based on their works on Global Citizenship Education. The various participants from Africa, Arab States, Asia-Pacific Region, and Europe and North America were introduced and invited to gain content during the workshop which will be of great importance in the building of a great world. GCED embodies Peace, Development, Tolerance, International Understanding, Education, Citizenship etc.

During the opening Ceremony, an appraisal of Global Citizenship Education was made and participants were implored to be more committed in making the world a better place through positive actions.For the next next three days, participants shall be enriched and equipped with knowledge and materials on the a fore mentioned subject which will be a booster to their diverse activities. The official launching of the Second Edition of GCED thus paths the way for more exchanges at the beautiful Busan Campus and which shall act as a melting of port of better ideas and networking.

the 2nd Edition of GCED is co-organized by APCEIU and Global Education First Initiative of the UN Secretary-General's Global Initiative on Education and sponsored by the korean Ministry of Education with Busan University of Foreign Studies and the Busan Metropolitan City as Cooperation Partners.
